Overview
The Links Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Director of Golf in overseeing and managing the Links golf operation. The Golf Professional will be responsible for executing the vision of the Director of Golf. The Head Professional will need to have a warm and engaging presence/personality with a high standard in executing a service driven operations team. In addition to providing outstanding service the Head Professional must be highly efficient in the use of Golf Genius software. The Head Professional must be able to clearly excel at building member relationships, and foster a welcoming environment. The position will be from November 15 to April 15 with wiggle room for the right candidate.
Experience Required
Class A PGA Member or Level 2 completed in good standing.
Private Club experience.
Proficient in POS System & Microsoft Office
Excels with Golf Genius
Outgoing professional with excellent written & oral communication
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and early mornings.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of the Golf Operation at the Links facility.
Maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service to Members and Guests.
Responsible for the scheduling of the outside operations staff at Links.
Strong skills in organizing and running efficient, fun and well-organized tournaments. Utilize Jonas and Golf Genius to their full capability.
Collaborates closely with all department heads, The Director of Golf and Superintendent.
Enforce all club regulations governing golf course usage while representing the club.
Creates a weekly newsletter with events and results that is released out every Wednesday.
Assist the Merchandiser with physical inventories and display of merchandise.
Able to provide excellent golf instruction to help members/guests in their golf game.
Provide club fitting when requested.
Be able to have a respectable ability to play and play with a variety of members when time permits.
Attend weekly meetings representing the Golf Department when needed.
Work with Director of Golf to create exciting and competitive events that enhance the Club's culture and engagement.
