Position Summary - Staff Accountant / Corporate Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for

managing monthly accounting functions , preparing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting the Director of Finance on projects. This role requires a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and collaboration across multiple teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain general ledger, reconcile accounts, record transactions, and prepare monthly financial statements for multiple companies.

Manage fixed asset accounting (depreciation, additions, disposals) using Sage FAS.

Prepare cash flow projections, sales/inventory reports, and other specialized reporting.

Coordinate and assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

Research and apply multi-state sales and use tax laws, registrations, and compliance.

Reconcile and report Flex Spending program transactions.

File annual state reports and maintain Registered Agents.

Approve and record bank transactions.

Assist Director of Finance with audits, surveys, and special projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience with emphasis on general ledger.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills).

Experience with ERP software.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.

Strong written/verbal communication skills.

Commitment to confidentiality and sound judgment.
