Position Summary Retail Store Associates play a meaningful role within the CVS Health family. They help shape the future of health care by providing active, supportive care in a leading retail setting. The role requires working independently and as part of a team to positively impact customers’ lives, one customer at a time.
Essential Functions
Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and actively resolving potential service issues.
Give a warm, friendly greeting, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating additional items.
Accurately perform cashier duties – handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision while following company policies.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
Provide customer support to all departments, ensuring they remain stocked and operational.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth and career development opportunities.
Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that help people on their path to better health.
Physical Requirements
Remain upright on feet for sustained periods of time.
Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly for moving objects.
Perform overhead lifting.
Maintain visual acuity suitable for reading computer terminals and visual inspection of small parts.
Be at least 16 years of age.
Qualifications
At least 16 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred but Not Required).
Anticipated Weekly Hours 20 hours
Time Type Part time
Pay Range Hourly: $16.50 – $22.00
