About the Role LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR and Payroll Specialist to support our client's team during a critical period of open enrollment and payroll processing. This short‑term contract role is ideal for someone with strong Paylocity experience and a solid background in multi‑state HR and payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process bi‑weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees across multiple states using Paylocity.
Support open enrollment activities including employee communications, benefits administration, and system updates.
Assist with general HR functions such as onboarding, employee record maintenance, and compliance tracking.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely data entry and reporting.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Qualifications
Proven experience with Paylocity payroll system.
Strong understanding of HR processes, especially open enrollment.
Experience handling multi‑state payroll and HR compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
Preferred
Prior experience in a fast‑paced, contract‑based HR/payroll role.
Familiarity with ACA reporting and benefits administration platforms.
