Join the Coast Guard Exchange (USCGCSC) as a Recreation Specialist (Aquatics Mgr) for a temporary full-time position not to exceed 1 year. This role involves assisting the Recreation Manager with planning, developing, and maintaining a military recreational fitness program for active-duty military, dependents, retirees, and authorized civilians. Key Responsibilities: Assist with planning, coordinating, and scheduling of recurring activities, special events, and joint community undertakings to maximize use of facilities and resources consistent with the military mission. Ensure safety is the number one priority, including operation and cleaning of the pool and associated facilities, and maintaining appropriate pool chemical levels. Assist with scheduling and oversight of indoor recreational aquatics programs, including swim lessons, open swim periods, intramural sports, and recreational games. Requirements: Demonstrated experience as a lifeguard. Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. Current certification as a Lifeguard with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid, or equivalent. Have or capable of obtaining Water Safety Instructor and Certified Operator certifications within 6 months of appointment. Benefits: Paid Annual and Sick Leave. Holiday Pay.
