What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

Prospect and identify potential school and district partners through various outreach methods

Qualify leads by understanding the needs and interests of prospects and set up appointments for Account Managers

Build rapport with educators and administrators to highlight the value of Scholastic Reading Events

Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress towards sales goals in the CRM system

Collaborate with the sales team to enhance outreach strategies and improve lead generation efficiency

What is Required (Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field

Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or territory sales, event management, or customer service

Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Sales Automation and CRM software

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities

Outstanding interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers and team members

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve results in a dynamic environment

Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy execution

Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to foster collaboration across teams
