Loar Group (NYSE: LOAR) is seeking a Production Manager for one of its operating units located in the mid-western US. Loar group specializes in acquiring and growing companies that design and manufacture highly engineered products for the global aerospace & defense market. To date Loar has acquired 18 niche aerospace & defense manufacturing businesses across the US and Europe.
The ideal candidate will be an analytical, diligent, and results-driven professional motivated by the opportunity to join a growing business in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment and to contribute to the business’ continuous improvement efforts. They will be a seasoned leader with demonstrated experience managing production operations and championing a culture of safety, process excellence, and quality. They will be responsible for driving the team’s success toward meeting the business’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in a lean manufacturing environment subject to strict quality standards. Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
Production Manager will:
Implement long-term and short-term production plans aligned with plant goals to ensure achievement of all value stream Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving operational and organizational performance.
Analyze production data, write or evaluate production reports, and use insights to drive improvements and enhance productivity, OTD and other operational KPI’s.
Focus on continuous improvement through 6S, LEAN principles, synchronous flow, and visual management techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure adherence to internal, QMS (AS9100D) and other quality standards maintaining a high level of product quality.
Lead and communicate effectively with the leadership team, value stream support staff, and relevant operations personnel to ensure alignment and cooperation.
Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing or production environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze production data and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Highly collaborative team player
Agile, able to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of production management and/or operations leadership in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Flexibility as required to work various shifts including evenings or weekends.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred.
