Join Okta’s Identity Threat Protection (ITP) team as a driven, outcome- and customer-focused Product Manager. ITP aims to stop identity-based attacks, serving as a core security platform that detects and prevents threats, helping customers prevent breaches and secure their digital ecosystems.
As a Senior Product Manager for Okta ITP, you will own, evolve, and scale ITP to exceed customer and business expectations. You will figure out how to stop identity-based attacks, automate security responses, and significantly decrease the risk of breach and compromise, empowering customers to meet complex use cases. What you will do
Own Identity Threat Protection (ITP) product at Okta
Grow and accelerate the product, expand product use and adoption, ensure customers are successful defending against complex identity-based attacks
Build compelling hypothesis about customer problems, develop a deep understanding of an ever-evolving attack surface, including human identities, AI, and NHI
Drive the roadmap & product innovation to keep ITP at the cutting edge of preventing identity-based attacks, make hard trade-offs, prioritize the highest value work, and balance new features with platform stability and customer satisfaction
Develop new solutions and offerings within ITP that significantly enhance its value to current and new customers alike
Leverage product data to continually improve and refine product functionality and work across the business to drive adoption and success
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success—to ensure product success
Define and communicate clear product requirements, including features, user experience, and technical specifications, to engineering teams
Think strategically to develop differentiated solutions in the identity security space, positioning yourself as the subject matter expert for your product area
Required qualifications
5+ years of product management experience in identity or enterprise security products, enterprise-scale SaaS products, or an equivalent background demonstrating core product management competencies
Direct experience in cybersecurity or identity management, specifically areas such as identity & access management, threat intelligence, security operations, incident response
Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal, and written) and a highly collaborative approach, enabling effective work with security-focused customers and cross-functional Okta teams
A BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience that provides a sound foundation for complex technical design decisions
A strong history of being outcome-driven and achieving tangible business results through successful delivery of products, features, or capabilities you’ve owned
Keen analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a proven capacity to formulate effective action plans even when faced with incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs
A genuine passion for Okta’s opportunity and growth, alongside a strong intellectual curiosity that drives you to learn and delve deeply into both business and technical aspects
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience owning an entire product and its business functions, particularly in a product management capacity
Knowledge of adversarial techniques and experience with industry-leading cybersecurity products such as XDR, SSE, firewalls, NG‑SIEM/SIAM
Experience owning high-growth, full‑stack products from core platform to UX to CX
Demonstrated experience across the product management lifecycle for enterprise products or services, emphasizing scale considerations impacting user experience
Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols and products
Additional information Must attend in‑person onboarding in San Francisco the first week.
Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits—including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave)—in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. Annual base salary range: $155,000—$233,000 USD
