Chief Financial Officer at Independent Suppliers Group
Independent Suppliers Group is seeking an experienced Controller. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller is responsible for financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and human resources.
Responsibilities
Supervision of accounting department, including but not limited to, accounts receivable, member services, and accounts payable.
Preparation of monthly financial statements for the CFO and research into budget variances.
Provide necessary accounting support to our wholly owned subsidiary Epic Business Essentials.
Monthly analysis and estimates on all funds due from vendors, e.g. rebates, coop, catalog funding, etc.
Review calculation and distribute quarterly and annual patronage dividends and rebates to shareholders and affiliates.
Monitor cash accounts and bank line of credit including monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly borrowing reports as required by bank.
Work with external auditors on annual audit and preparation of all required sales tax and unclaimed property reports.
Responsible for by-weekly payroll related functions.
Administration of employee benefit plans such as medical and 401(K)
Oversee the review of credit information and set up of all new shareholders and affiliates to include the appropriate level of security through credit insurance, irrevocable standby letter of credit or security deposit.
Work with CFO on annual budget preparation
Preparation of annual 1099-MISC and 1099-PATR
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA or MBA preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills
Previous experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager
Experience with NetSuite accounting software would be a plus
