Responsibilities

Patient care in Pediatric Gastrointestinal Diseases at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) Colorado Springs and CU Briargate Specialty Clinics for Children, including inpatient attending and outpatient clinics, and performing the full range of GI procedures at CHCO facilities.

Provide consultative and call support services for CHCO and affiliated healthcare partners.

Clinical focus in GI diseases with experience in pediatric GI disorders and GI procedures.

Education and teaching of pediatric and family practice residents, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, students, and others.

Attend relevant conferences (Wednesday AM 07:30-09:00) and other continuing education opportunities.

Attend bi-monthly Anschutz and Briargate faculty meetings via teleconference or in-person.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Assistant Professor : MD or DO; ABP Pediatrics Board Certified; ABP Peds Gastroenterology Board eligible; completed fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (RRC-approved or equivalent) by hire date.

Associate Professor : MD or DO; ABP Pediatrics Board Certified; ABP Peds Gastroenterology Board eligible; completed fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (RRC-approved or equivalent) by hire date; 6+ years of academic medical setting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

EPIC experience; two or more years of clinical experience.

Publications in peer-reviewed journals in pediatric gastroenterology or related fields.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of all pediatric GI disorders.

Demonstrated skills in pediatric GI endoscopic and related procedures.

Excellent teaching, communication, and team collaboration skills.
