Paraeducator Student Attendant - Hughes (QSS 9276)
Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) is dedicated to supporting resilient, future‑ready, lifelong learners. We seek a qualified Paraeducator to provide individualized support to a special education student, ensuring alignment with the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Responsibilities
Provide in‑class instructional assistance to a special education student per the IEP.
Support teaching of reading, writing, and mathematics as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies.
Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and support staff regarding student progress.
Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
Qualifications
High school graduate.
Completed at least two years of higher‑education study or demonstrable knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
Knowledge of special‑education principles and instructional assistance techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑orientated environment.
Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
