About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to lead and oversee cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines across complex construction projects. This leadership role combines strong technical expertise with strategic cost control, stakeholder management, and team mentorship.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing high-value projects from concept through completion, ensuring cost efficiency and transparency at every stage.
Key Responsibilities Lead cost management efforts for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and process utility systems. Review and validate subcontractor bids, payment applications, and change order proposals. Develop, maintain, and enhance project cost control systems and financial reporting tools. Conduct risk-based cost analysis and scenario modeling to support key project decisions. Collaborate closely with planning and scheduling teams to align cost and schedule impacts. Manage the full lifecycle of change orders, including evaluation, negotiation, approval, and implementation. Support procurement strategy and contract development for MEP trade packages. Review design changes for cost implications and provide strategic advice to project leadership. Prepare and present executive-level cost reports, variance analyses, and forecasts. Mentor and provide guidance to junior cost engineers and project controls staff.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in
Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
or a related discipline. Minimum of
10 years of experience
in
MEP cost management
or
project controls
for large-scale construction projects. Strong technical knowledge of
HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, fire protection, and process utilities . Proficiency with cost management and control tools such as
CostX, Sage, Prism, Excel, and ERP systems . Familiarity with various
contract types
including Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost-Plus frameworks. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with client representatives. Experience on
semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, data centers, or pharmaceutical facilities
preferred. Understanding of
BIM-based cost planning
and integration with VDC workflows. Professional certifications such as
MRICS, CCP, or PMP
are highly regarded. Bilingual in
English and Korean
preferred but not required.
