Stark College & Seminary (SCS) seeks to hire an experienced and successful individual to fill the role of Vice President of Finance / Chief Financial Officer. SCS seeks to serve educationally underserved followers of Christ for service in the church and community. Applications should have a spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ and desire to serve in a ministry setting.
Position : Vice President of Finance / Chief Financial Officer
Reports to : Senior Vice President & Provost
Classification : Full-Time
Supervises : Yes

The Chief Financial Officer provides leadership and coordination in the operational administration of the college. The CFO is responsible for financial management, property oversight, and communications at the institution. The Position Core includes the following duties :
Core Responsibilities
Financial Leadership:
Serve as the chief financial officer, overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, audit oversight, financial reporting, financial planning, and payroll.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements for non-profit organizations.
Oversight of student accounts and financial aid operations.
Property Management:
Provide leadership for the planning, maintenance, and development of college facilities.
Ensure a conducive and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Perform annual insurance reviews to ensure the appropriate mitigation of risks.
Oversee SCS vehicles including leasing, purchasing, insuring, and maintenance.
Communications and Marketing:
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy to enhance the college's visibility and reputation.
Supervise marketing efforts, including website management, social media, and promotional materials.
Other
Serve on the Leadership Cabinet and Executive Cabinet.
Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Effective verbal and written communication;
Collaborative, dependable, and strong work ethic;
High level of leadership, management, and supervisory skills;
Dedicated to operational excellence and attentive to details;
Computer literacy—MS Office, Apple OS, SiS software, and Google Workspace applications;
Customer service skills including interaction with students and constituents;
CPA or MBA required, PhD preferred.
Benefits
$80,000 base salary plus additional compensation based on education and experience.
