Work Shift Job Summary Functions under the direction of the IT Manager. The Application Analyst provides intermediate system‑level support of multi‑user clinical and financial applications, operating systems, hardware, software, and reporting tools, including installation, configuration, training, maintenance, and support of these systems. Requires intermediate knowledge of systems analysis and comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts and methodology. Able to lead and participate in project planning sessions, establish project goals, milestones, and procedures, and manage projects with varying levels of complexity. The Application Analyst works with project leaders on several aspects of project planning to meet deadlines, promotes excellent customer service and strong communication skills, works with outside departments to promote, educate and train on current applications, and collaborates with Information Systems staff, clinical and operational departments, and other Wellstar Health System team members to accomplish project goals.

Initiative: Takes care of responsibilities and work efforts without being asked, demonstrates ownership of assigned tasks, facilitates follow‑through, and seeks opportunities to take on additional responsibilities.
Decision Making / Judgment: Recognizes problems, gathers information, seeks input, articulates underlying issues, evaluates solutions, and communicates decisions while achieving results without delay.
Results Focus: Sets challenging personal goals with achievable dates, works with the team to meet goals, prioritizes tasks, accepts accountability, and maintains adherence to Wellstar processes such as on‑call & incident management, change management testing, and timekeeping.
Adaptability & Flexibility: Quickly adapts to change, remains calm under stress, encourages others to commit to change initiatives, and adjusts schedules, tasks, and priorities as necessary.
Creativity / Innovation: Brings new thoughts and ideas, challenges the status quo, supports change, encourages innovation, develops multiple alternatives, and implements ideas to improve efficiency and quality.
Project Management: Applies comprehensive project management concepts, leads and participates in planning sessions, establishes roles, monitors progress, manages resources, and ensures timely completion with high quality.
Mission, Vision, and Credo: Supports and communicates the Wellstar Vision, Mission, and Credo, generates enthusiasm, and incorporates the vision into daily actions and decisions.
Self Development: Takes responsibility for personal growth, expands skill sets, engages in continuous learning, seeks feedback, and provides coaching to others.
Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education
High School Diploma General or Bachelors Information Technology or Bachelors Other
Required Minimum Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in technology and/or healthcare or related industry.
Required Minimum Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment by accepting and offering constructive feedback and supporting team goals.
Ability to multi‑task and complete assigned tasks independently with minimal guidance and close attention to detail.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems and offer solutions.
Comprehensive understanding of application support.
Ability to serve as a primary resource for at least 1 application module.
Ability to gather, translate, and communicate business or clinical requirements into technical solutions for application implementation.
