as you take on more project responsibility.
What Youll Do Prepare detailed
quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals
for ground-up construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to ensure accurate scope coverage. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing to develop competitive bids. Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and clients to clarify scope and align project goals. Support value engineering efforts and maintain accurate cost databases.
What You Bring 37 years of estimating experience with a
general contractor
or construction manager. Solid understanding of
construction methods, materials, and building systems . Proficiency in estimating software such as
Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or Excel-based tools . Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills. A proactive mindset and desire to grow into a leadership role over time.
