Tax Manager We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations. This position is ideal for a tax professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is proficient with CCH Axcess for tax compliance and workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities
Supervise and review the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
Manage and develop client relationships by providing expert tax planning and consulting services.
Coordinate and oversee tax compliance engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Identify and research complex tax issues; provide well-supported and practical solutions to clients.
Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate relevant changes to clients and staff.
Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities with existing clients and participating in new client proposals.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, including training, performance evaluations, and career development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
5+ years of public accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Proficiency in CCH Axcess Tax is required; experience with Axcess Document and Workstream is a plus.
Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience with tax planning, projections, and client advisory preferred.
