Position Overview The Transcend Plan Integration Director is responsible for ensuring critical MedTech Plan Capabilities are covered by the Transcend program (S4 HANA deployment), maintaining the integrity of the plan ecosystem during program execution, and overall accountability for the successful integration of MT planning solutions into the S4 ecosystem. The role is based in Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland, or New Jersey, and requires the development and deployment of integration solutions between MT Transcend S4 systems and multiple PLAN APS systems across global, regional, and market segments. The Director will lead a team of project managers, contractors, and external vendors, partnering closely with business stakeholders, senior executives, and cross‑functional teams.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Shape the MedTech Plan System integrated roadmap between advanced planning systems and the new S4 system, considering highly complex interdependencies with MT must‑wins and strategic programs.

Ensure alignment with BU / Regions and central functions.

Deliver integrated solutions between MT Transcend S4 systems and multiple PLAN APS systems covering several business units; global, regional, and markets.

Work with multiple workstreams, including Business SMEs, PO, JJT, OMP, S4, PLAN BPO, and business stakeholders to maintain proper cadences for day‑to‑day activities, capturing business requirements and enabling solutions across different plan systems.

Own the relationship with external vendors & integrators for project planning, budget planning, and resource planning, and serve as the accountable point of contact for all financial transactions with external vendors, including SOWs, POS, and payments.

Ensure effective stakeholder management, providing frequent updates on key decisions, progress, risks, and attention points.

Pull together different teams and run SWAT exercises as needed during different project phases, including solution build, validation, cutover, and hyper‑care.

Plan and manage delivery of projects operationally, including team and schedule management.

Accountable for ensuring all User Stories & KDD’s captured in JIRA for Global Template processes have been solutioned, tested, and deployed successfully.

Lead the team of project managers and indirect/external resources to deploy the program.

Stay abreast of emerging planning concepts and technology partner selection.

Establish strong alignment and linkages to partner functions such as J&J Technology, MT SC Digital, Commercial, Business Unit Supply Chain & Regional Value Chains, Integrated Business Management.

Qualifications & Experience

Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.

Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Operations, Supply Chain, or large transformation programs.

Minimum of 5 years of plan business experience.

3+ years of people management and development experience, with the ability to build and maintain high‑performance teams.

Strong knowledge of MedTech supply chain and planning systems (APO, OMP, Blue Yonder).

Project Management certification (FPX PL or PMP) required; FPX SME preferred.

APICS / Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

Experience leading complex programs inclusive of local and global scope, in a distributed environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Demonstrated outstanding strategic thinking, planning, communication, and influencing skills.

Ability to work in a complex, multi‑system environment.

Hands‑on project delivery and management of project timelines in a complex business environment.

Manage multiple stakeholders effectively, including senior business leaders, vendors, third parties, and subcontractors.

Ability to persuade others in sensitive & complex situations while preserving relationships.

Understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain interactions and interdependencies with other functions.

Strong background in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems (APO, OMP, Blue Yonder); digital acumen required.

Expert knowledge of Advanced Planning Technologies.

Excellent financial & business acumen to develop multi‑year investment plans.

Global experience with multiple countries, regions, and associated cultural awareness; experience working with virtual teams and matrix organizations.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills; strength in interdependent partnering and team management.

Clear understanding of external supply chain trends and emerging best practices.

Travel Requirements: 20‑30 % international travel.
