Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is primarily responsible for ongoing support to our Territory Sales Team. You will evaluate and train the sales team as well as analyze sales trends. The Regional Sales Manager will support other sales initiatives with project planning, coordination, budgeting, customer management and reporting.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

Responsible for Thunder Creek Sales Success in the region.

Mentor, train, and lead Territory Sales Managers within the region.

Implement tools and disciplines of Leadership, Management, and Accountability of our employed and independent sales team for their professional and personal development.

Provide support to Territory Sales Managers, dealers, and customers in the region.

Partner with VP of Sales to set overall Thunder Creek Sales strategy, objectives, plans, and promotions.

Partner with VP of Sales to develop and manage the annual sales budget.

Determine long- and short-term sales goals for TSM’s and the region.

Provide leadership on hiring and employee retention.

Provide market feedback and partner with marketing department to develop and implement regional marketing programs.

Prepare and submit reports to VP of Sales, including region analysis and forecasts.

Attendance at national and regional trade shows, seminars, and events.

Review and approve direct report expenses.

Resolve customer complaints and service issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Interview and train new staff.

Communicate job expectations and performance requirements to team members.

Initiate, coordinate and enforce production, safety, and quality systems, policies, and procedures.

Oversee the daily workflow of the department.

Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Handle or assist with discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications

Strong communications skills.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.

Excellent analytical skills.

Ability to expertly manage time and multiple priorities.

Ability to drive a ¾ ton truck with cargo trailer.

Education and Experience

Five+ years of outside B2B territory sales experience.

Three+ years in a managerial role.

Travel

Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with a valid driver’s license.
