Consulting Member Of Technical Staff (IC5) Join Oracle as a Consulting Member Of Technical Staff (IC5) and help build the next‑generation infrastructure for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). OCI powers mission‑critical applications for top enterprises worldwide and is expanding into dedicated, hybrid, multi‑cloud, and edge deployments.

Overview Within OCI, the Technical Strategy & Oversight (TSO) organization builds foundational systems and frameworks that power the most demanding tier‑one services. One bold initiative is Autonomous OCI, a greenfield effort to redesign the kernel and runtime of the cloud itself, making services fast, resilient, and self‑healing by default.

Responsibilities As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, you will help build the Light‑weight Infrastructure—the next‑generation runtime for compute, networking, storage, telemetry, and governance—at the core of Autonomous OCI. You’ll dive deep into complex systems, design and develop core services, and collaborate across teams to improve scale, resilience and simplicity. Beyond coding, you’ll contribute to platform and product definitions, participate in design reviews, and mentor engineers, playing a leadership role in shaping the next generation of the OCI Service Platform.

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant engineering experience designing and working in distributed systems and cloud services.

Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across teams.

Experience as a technical lead, guiding architecture, design, and implementation of complex software systems.

Experience in either Cloud‑based Compute, Virtualization, or Orchestration systems, Cloud‑based Storage systems or Cloud‑based Networking.

Experience mentoring engineers.

Expertise in software development, with experience in languages such as Java, Rust, or Golang.

Expertise building and operating hosted software (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, etc.).

Experience with containers, Kubernetes and scalable, reliable workflows is a plus.
