Patient Care Associate – 36 hour days

Minimum Starting Rate : $20.58 per hour (subject to market conditions)
Job Summary Working under the direction of licensed personnel, the associate assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating) and monitors vital signs.
Responsibilities
Perform vital signs, weights, heights, intakes, and outputs accurately and within established time frames.
Complete all documentation in the medical record as required.
Interact with patients and their families effectively.
Assist patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
Help patients turn, reposition, and transfer between bed and wheelchair.
Listen for health concerns and report them to nurses.
Qualifications Education : High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?

Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support (BLS) – preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant – preferred.
Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (Massachusetts) – preferred.
Nursing Assistant (LNA – New Hampshire) – preferred.
Experience Experience working in patient care/elder care 1–2 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong patient/customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
