Join our Global Mobility Tax Practice as a Senior Tax Associate, Private Client and Global Mobility Expatriate Tax in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your expertise in the field of expatriate tax services and contribute to the success of our clients. This role offers valuable experience and growth potential within our Global Mobility Expatriate Tax team in Chicago.
What you will do:
Assist with the review and completion of individual tax returns, equalization calculations, and miscellaneous tax forms for inbound expatriate employees and foreign investors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
Assist with the review and completion of individual income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals with offshore investments and holdings.
Assist in U.S. payroll reporting and withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including annual compensation statements.
Assist with U.S. tax identification numbers for taxpayers, spouses, and dependents.
Provide support to senior team members as they advise clients in various industries on domestic and international tax matters.
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates and interns.
What you need to bring:
2+ years of experience Private Client / Global Mobility Expatriate Tax with a national or regional accounting firm or boutique firm focused on expatriate tax matters.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is generally required; J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university is preferred.
Strong planning, research, writing and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
CPA license or similar certification, or currently working to obtain a CPA license, preferred but not required.
German language skills are preferred but not required.
Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry, preferred but not required.

PAY RANGE IN CHICAGO METROPOLITAN AREA Base Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
