Position:
IBM (ELM) System Administrator – supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all administrative functions for the IBM Engineering tools, including user management, license management, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Provide technical support and training to engineering teams on the effective use of the IBM Engineering tools.
Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain documentation related to the IBM Engineering tools and processes.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of the IBM Engineering tools with other systems.
Manage and maintain the DB2 database associated with the IBM Engineering tools.
Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
Stay up-to-date on the latest IBM Engineering tools and technologies.
Education and Experience
Minimum 6 years of general full‑time work experience.
Minimum 3 years of direct experience with IBM Engineering tools.
Experience performing administrative tasks and providing support for IBM Engineering tools.
Experience with DB2 database administration and management.
Experience maintaining system security compliance to DoD standards.
Willing and able to work onsite at an approved MDA location.
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+).
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Requirements
Experience as an IBM Administrator.
Experience with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM).
Experience with IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM).
Experience with IBM Rhapsody.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position requiring 40 hours per week. Work schedule is Monday through Friday during core business hours, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
Other Position Requirements
Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must obtain the required clearance level by date of hire.
Must be able to travel, including air travel.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
