The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Law, who will serve as the chief academic and administrative officer. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong commitment to community, educational rigor, and the public interest. Responsibilities for the Dean include providing intellectual and administrative leadership, guiding the College in its educational mission, and advocating for the College at the University and national levels. The Dean will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching, research, and service, as well as for the College's budget, faculty recruitment, and personnel matters.
The ideal candidate for the Dean position at the College of Law should have a distinguished record in legal education, with a focus on both traditional and applied scholarship. They must be adept at fostering a collaborative environment and be dedicated to the development of innovative and relevant curricula. The role requires a leader who can effectively engage with faculty, staff, and students, and who is committed to the values of the institution. Experience in alumni relations, fundraising, and a strong network within the legal and academic communities are also essential. The Dean will be expected to work closely with the administration and other deans to achieve the College's and the University's goals, particularly in the areas of service to the state and the legal profession.
