About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Supply Chain Officer to lead the development and execution of a strategic supply chain program. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving cost-saving initiatives across a broad portfolio of products and services, with a focus on pediatric medical and surgical supplies, equipment, and business services. This role requires a dynamic executive with a proven track record in supply chain management, deep business acumen, and the ability to advocate for the organization's needs. The Chief Supply Chain Officer will be expected to foster large, ambitious ideas, and plans, and be hands-on in their execution, while also serving as an outside advisor. Experience in an acute healthcare environment, particularly with a pediatric focus, is highly valued, and a Master's degree in a related field is required.
Key responsibilities for the Chief Supply Chain Officer include establishing credibility with the team and member hospitals, leading the GPO contract process, and creating a strategy to enhance supply chain data quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group purchasing organization operations, supplier management, and a proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts. They should be adept at setting and achieving performance goals, and be comfortable with ambiguity, able to adapt and lead through complexity. The role demands a leader with high emotional intelligence, superb judgment, and a strategic mindset, who can effectively lead a team and build strong relationships both internally and externally.
