About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chair for its Department of Emergency Medicine. The successful candidate will have general administrative responsibility and will be actively involved in the educational, research, patient care, and service programs of the department. Essential duties include continuously evaluating and seeking opportunities for growth and improvement in all departmental areas, enhancing faculty recruitment with a focus on diversity and inclusion, and maintaining a balanced budget. The Chair will also be responsible for optimizing the operation of departmental programs, ensuring compliance with university policies, and working with other departments to achieve interdepartmental goals.
Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified in Emergency Medicine. The role requires a leader who can make strategic recommendations for the department, manage expenses, and ensure budget transparency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine, with a focus on faculty and staff performance, and be adept at fostering a culture of excellence in residency training. The Chair will be expected to work closely with the Vice Dean and Dean, attend various meetings, and fulfill any additional duties as assigned.
