About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Asset Management with a strong background in commercial real estate, particularly in the multifamily sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a strategic plan for a diverse portfolio of assets, including oversight of all management, construction, development, and financial activities. This role requires a proactive leader with a player/coach philosophy, who can provide direction and collaborate with internal and external partners. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day asset management operations, monitoring financials, preparing and analyzing reports, and supporting underwriting efforts. The VP will also be expected to have a deep understanding of market dynamics, and experience in lease negotiations, and be adept at working with institutional partners.
Candidates for the Vice President of Asset Management position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in commercial real estate asset management. The role demands expertise in financial modeling, construction oversight, and a strong understanding of debt and capital markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in multifamily and industrial assets, be adept at repositioning assets, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in multiple West Coast submarkets and a willingness to travel are also essential.
