About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide both operational and programmatic support. The CFO will be a key member of the Executive Team, assisting in strategic and tactical matters related to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting. This role involves assessing the financial implications of contracts, developing and maintaining internal control systems, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The CFO will also be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial activities, including banking, cash flow, and the production of various financial reports for management and the Board of Directors.
Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with an MBA strongly preferred, and at least 5 years' experience in a financial leadership role, particularly in not-for-profit accounting. The role requires extensive knowledge of specialized financial processes and systems, with experience in HHS Accelerator, NYC Way, and Grants Gateway. The CFO will also be involved in the organization's strategic vision, fostering stakeholder relationships, and assisting in the development and negotiation of contracts. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing finance department staff and ensuring the organization's financial operations are in line with federal regulations.
