About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the key physician leader and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The CMO will be responsible for leading, directing, and administering medical staff and other physicians in alignment with the company's mission, vision, and values. This executive role involves providing overall leadership, direction, and coordination of operations, finances, space, and human resources within the medical staff's range of responsibility. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing institutional policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and service delivery. Additionally, the CMO will be expected to translate strategic plans and budget targets into operational action plans, guiding resource allocation, and ensuring the achievement of the annual operating plan.
Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have a minimum of five years' of progressively responsible management or supervisory level experience in physician or medical staff administration. A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is required, with a preference for a Master of Medical Management, business administration, or equivalent. The ideal candidate will embody qualities of collaboration and accountability, and be an excellent communicator, particularly in a highly matrixed environment.
