About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer to lead and transform its medical staff affairs with a strong focus on quality, patient safety, and value-based clinical care. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the vision and agenda for clinical outcomes improvement, resource utilization, and patient-centered care coordination. This role requires the development and implementation of comprehensive quality and safety programs, as well as the management of clinical practice protocols and guidelines to ensure evidence-based and high-reliability care. The Chief Medical Officer will also be a key member of the executive team, participating in strategic planning, and will be expected to support the medical staff in self-governance and accountability for the quality and safety of patient care.

Candidates for the Chief Medical Officer position at the company must be board-certified in their medical specialty, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a general practitioner and a strong background in physician leadership within an acute care setting. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in clinical process improvement, quality management, and a deep understanding of medical staff organization and regulations. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of clinical practice experience, be adept at strategic planning, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. A graduate of an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O. degree, current medical licensure, and significant management training are essential, with a preference for additional credentials such as MBS, MPH, or MHSA. The Chief Medical Officer will be a change agent, a champion for a culture of quality and safety, and will work closely with the medical staff to enhance physician satisfaction and ensure the highest standards of patient care.
