About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the leading physician executive for one of its hospitals. The CMO will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of all clinical and medical operations, with a focus on ensuring high-quality patient care, physician engagement, and alignment with the hospital's mission and strategic goals. This includes overseeing the quality and safety of patient care, developing and implementing clinical service lines, and being a key member of the clinician recruitment and retention team. The successful candidate will also be involved in strategic planning, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance, and will be expected to lead and develop the medical staff, as well as act as a catalyst for organizational change.

Candidates for the CMO position at the company must have an MD or DO from an accredited School of Medicine, be board-certified in a clinical discipline, and have a minimum of 12 years of clinical experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. The role requires a physician with a proven track record in leading change, driving results, and fostering a culture of safe and compassionate patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving, project management, and change management skills, and the ability to make decisions that produce high-quality results. They should be adept at influencing others, managing conflicts, and be committed to the continuous improvement of services. The CMO will be expected to work closely with the senior leadership team and be a visible and effective leader within the organization.
