About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Institutional Shared Resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, financial oversight, and administration of all institutional core facilities. This includes maintaining knowledge of research programs, leading the development of new core facilities, and ensuring the effective operation of the research enterprise. The role also involves serving as the dedicated administrative leader for all institutionally supported core facilities, managing fiscal activities, and overseeing compliance with regulatory standards. The Executive Director will be a key figure in the integration of innovative best practices across the research community and will work closely with senior leadership to advance institutional core sharing initiatives.
Candidates for this position must have a PhD in a biomedical science, business, or health administration, with a preference for those holding both a PhD and an MBA. A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in biomedical research, shared resources/core facilities administration, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial and usage data management, extensive administrative leadership experience, advanced data management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance. Strong communication and coordination abilities are essential, as the role involves interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, program leaders, and faculty. The Executive Director will also be responsible for people management, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring the professional development of their team.
