About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled
Structural Inspector
to join our Owner’s Representative team on a landmark
$500 million federal renovation and ground up construction project . This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that all structural work performed by the General Contractor meets the highest standards of
construction quality ,
federal regulations , and
project specifications . Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of structural components including steel, concrete, and framing systems. Verify that construction activities comply with federal codes, project drawings, and specifications. Document and report deficiencies, non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with the General Contractor, design team, and federal stakeholders to resolve field issues. Maintain detailed inspection logs, photo documentation, and daily reports. Attend progress meetings and provide technical input on structural quality and compliance. Monitor testing procedures and results for materials. Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality assurance protocols. Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural inspection on large-scale commercial or federal projects. Strong understanding of federal construction standards (e.g., UFC, ASTM, ACI, AISC). Familiarity with construction management software and digital inspection tools. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection tasks simultaneously. U.S. Citizenship required due to federal project requirements. Preferred Experience
Prior work on federal renovation or modernization projects. Experience interfacing with government agencies such as GSA, USACE, or NAVFAC. Knowledge of historic building preservation and retrofit techniques. Certification(s) such as ICC Structural Inspector, AWS CWI, or equivalent preferred. Seniority level
