Responsibilities & Duties
Multi‑trade complex building construction and renovation inspection, scheduling, coordination, and general field inspection for all disciplines.
Inspects work at the site(s) for contract and code compliance; recommends approvals or rejections of materials and workmanship; monitors labor and safety requirements.
Complete written inspection reports and records of defects, omissions, and quality assurance activities.
Establish detailed inspection requirements, schedules, and control methods under a QC procedure; verify compliance with specifications and drawings.
Report labor standards compliance to the AOC COTR; monitor construction activities with emphasis on milestones, phasing, sequencing, and major tests.
Provide daily site photos to AOC photo management software; prepare weekly AOC Project Report and final review.
Monitor GC compliance with safety regulations, standards, and the Project Safety Plan; report non‑compliance and notify the Government of life‑threatening conditions.
Prepare accident and incident reports; complete daily construction activity reports in PMIS software.
Coordinate with AOC testing service contractors; maintain all field reports and verify corrective work by the GC.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction inspection or related field.
OSHA 30 and USACE QCM certification (obtainable after hiring).
Government or military project experience.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred but not required.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with E‑Builder Construction Management software preferred.
