The Divisional VP HR Business Partner reports to the BILH CHRO with a dotted line to the Divisional President Metro Boston. This role provides HR leadership to support the Metro Boston hospitals and drives operational excellence aligned with BILH’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Establish trusted relationships with physicians, staff, community, and patients/caregivers; be visible in support of Metro Boston Hospital leadership teams and entity HR leaders.
Partner with BILH HR leadership and stakeholders to develop and execute growth strategies that differentiate BILH and elevate the quality of care.
Recruit and retain outstanding clinical and administrative leaders with a strong commitment to the Metro Boston Hospitals.
Promote cohesion across the Metro Boston Hospitals and advance an integrated health system.
Support and lead a culture of collaboration and trust among leadership and medical staff.
Lead with a system mindset that embraces transformation and change.
Collaborate with the hospital president and leadership to drive key human capital initiatives and business results in assigned facilities.
Work with Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to implement HR initiatives across the system and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Provide strategic, creative, and collaborative leadership across the division.
Drive change management with CoEs, articulating the need for change and developing transition plans with entity leadership.
Promote a WE CARE culture characterized by open, honest, and direct communication.
Support a culture of respect and belonging; develop and implement efforts that prioritize collaboration and career satisfaction.
Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints and establish credibility across the organization as a listening, problem-solving partner.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience in an integrated health system, ideally in a competitive marketplace.
Proven ability to influence, build consensus, lead, and navigate a diverse group of stakeholders; capable of interfacing with regulators and earning stakeholder trust and respect.
5–8 years of HR generalist experience across multiple disciplines, plus 5–8 years of supervisory/management experience.
Strong project management skills with a track record of leading large, complex projects; focused on delivering a high-quality end-user experience across HR touchpoints and services.
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and consulting skills; ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, and partner at senior levels.
Knowledge of HR functions, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with data handling, analysis, and databases.
