Overview
Immigration Process Mapping Consultant – Onsite in San Jose, CA. Project duration: 1–2 days. Base pay range:
$40.00/hr - $50.00/hr . This role involves the complete end-to-end process for visa sponsorships (e.g., H-1B, L-1, Green Cards). The project includes discovery, current-state mapping, waste analysis, and future-state recommendations. Responsibilities
Discovery:
Work with the HR immigration team and other stakeholders to gather information on the existing process. Current-state process mapping:
Create a visual map of all steps involved, including roles, tasks, handoffs, and software used. Waste analysis:
Identify non-value-added activities, bottlenecks, and pain points such as administrative delays, rework, and information gaps. Future-state recommendations:
Propose streamlined processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance the employee experience. Deliverables
A "Current State" process map documenting the complete immigration visa sponsorship process, including candidate-to-day-one and current employee sponsorship perspectives, by visa type (H-1B, F-1, L-1, O, etc.). A report on identified process inefficiencies and areas of waste. A "Future State" process map outlining proposed improvements. A presentation of findings and recommendations to the HR leadership team. Qualifications
Proven experience in process mapping and process improvement within HR or immigration functions. Strong understanding of U.S. immigration processes and visa types. Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart). Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work independently and deliver results within a short timeframe.
