Overview
Angove Partners are working with an insurance broker in the US. You will help with the Broking side within the energy remit, leveraging deep market expertise and relationships across international markets. They are looking for multiple individuals, including Placement & Marketing Brokers, as well as professionals who are already in/looking to move into a production role. What is the role? We are looking to expand our Energy Division with several experienced Energy Insurance Brokers at our well-established, independent specialist brokerage. We welcome applications from brokers of all types — from placement specialists to producers — who are eager to contribute to the continued growth of our Energy team. Successful candidates will play a key role in developing and strengthening relationships with clients, underwriters, and industry partners, while helping to deliver innovative insurance solutions across the energy sector. What will you be doing? Collaborate closely with energy clients to understand their risk profiles, operational challenges, and insurance requirements. Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyses to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks specific to the energy sector. Cultivate and nurture relationships with underwriters and insurance carriers, negotiating terms and conditions to secure optimal coverage for clients. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to provide strategic risk management advice and solutions. Develop and present customized insurance programs that align with clients’ risk appetite, compliance needs, and business goals. What do you need to apply to this role? Proven experience as an insurance broker, ideally with energy sector exposure. In-depth knowledge of energy-related risks, insurance products, and market dynamics. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to foster strong client and partner relationships. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex risks and recommend tailored insurance solutions. Results-driven and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
