Mid-Level Employment & Labor Counsel
to join our Houston office. This is a
non-partnership-track Counsel role , with eligibility for future promotion to Senior Counsel (partnership track, though not guaranteed). Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and dispositive motions Attend court appearances and handle discovery responses and meet-and-confer letters Defend individual and class action wage and hour claims (court and arbitration) Advise clients on compliance with employment laws and regulations Respond to government investigations and inquiries Qualifications
3–4 years of experience in
labor and employment law , preferably in Texas Strong understanding of
federal and state employment statutes Experience litigating in both
state and federal courts ; trial experience preferred Familiarity with drafting and reviewing
employment manuals and policies Excellent communication skills and comfort providing
direct client counseling Active Texas Bar membership
required Billable expectation:
1600 hours minimum; 1800 hours considered full-time Candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive team players capable of managing a high-volume caseload. Seniority level
