Mass General Brigham seeks RNs to join Magnet-designated nursing team in Ellison 9 Cardiac ICU. 16-bed adult unit serving critically ill cardiac ICU patients. The most common diagnoses and/or interventions include hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon counter pulsation, ventricular assist devices, CVVH, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, recovery from coronary procedures (including percutaneous aortic and mitral valve replacement), and recovery from acute myocardial infarction with possible cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure and/or multiple organ dysfunction/failure. A multi-disciplinary team approach focuses on the psychosocial and emotional support of patients and their families. Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records. Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Record patients\' medical information and vital signs. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients\' conditions. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients\' responses and conditions. Qualifications

Education: Associate\'s Degree Nursing required or Bachelor\'s Degree Nursing preferred. Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN) — State License. Experience: Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with practical nursing principles, knowledge of medical terminology, ability to maintain confidentiality, excellent verbal and communication skills, ability to screen and triage acute patients.
