Basic Function The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Howard University Center of Excellence Project (HU‑CoE).

Supervisory Accountability No responsibility to supervise others.

Nature And Scope Internal contacts include faculty and staff of the University.

Minimal interaction with external partners.

Principal Accountabilities

Will coordinate administrative activities for the successful implementation of the project

Support the coordination of administrative activities for the successful implementation of the project

Coordinate distance‑based technology for the project office

Assist with scheduling meetings, develop agendas, edit documents, and prepare minutes

Monitor the project’s website

Create, develop, and maintain listserv

Support marketing functions of the project’s partners

Assist with monitoring and conduct weekly CQI of the project’s website

Assist with research, data collection and maintenance of project’s database

Manage reports and records of the project

Report updates verbally and in written form to management

Additional tasks as assigned as warranted

Strong research skills

Organizational and planning skills

Ability to multitask with keen attention to detail

Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Ability to efficiently utilize social media applications

Minimum Requirements Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field which may include public health, education, business, IT. Minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
