Computing Architect (Manhattan) – Boeing Global Services, Distribution Services, Miami, FL Responsibilities
Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates computer programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, marketing, etc. Collaborate with cross functional teams comprising business SMEs, Architects, Developers and SIs on current processes and proposing solutions to enhance current systems. Identify, recommend and implement complex configuration solutions and implement full cycle configuration to meet business needs; create and update associated documentation. Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with customers and stakeholders; assess and propose capabilities and trade-offs with business and SIs to promote adoption of standard best practices. Perform programming assignments with limited supervision; system design elements may require closer supervision. Demonstrate Boeing behaviors in a deliberate and observable way; flexibly collaborate with overlapping time zones APAC, Europe and US teams. Develop conversion and system implementation plans; prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation. Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards. Perform other related duties as required. Basic Qualifications (Required)
7+ years related work experience Knowledge of Manhattan WMOS application and WMOS troubleshooting experience At least 1 year end-to-end Manhattan WMS implementation experience Ability to act as a liaison between functional and technical teams Ability to understand a company’s functional, technical and process needs to create supporting documentation and solution requirements Extensive experience with test planning, scripting and conducting interface integrations (with Manhattan WMOS) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Provide on-site support to increase value to the client and manage tasks and deadlines with minimal guidance Configure supply chain software system to meet business needs Understanding of full system development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions Experience using SQL as a troubleshooting and reporting aid Ability to solve practical problems and interpret diverse instructions Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
10+ years of IT experience with any advanced science degree or technical education 10+ years with at least 3+ years implementing or supporting Manhattan WMOS Experience in integrating ERP, TMS, OMS, LMS using MIF or other middleware is a plus Travel
