deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer-PMP in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description The Parts, Material, and Process (PMP) Engineer responsibilities include the support of the GMD Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor. This role is responsible for assessing the parts and materials to support the sustainment and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2+ Years Experience.
Experience Requirements
At least 1 year of recent, in-depth experience with PMAP Rev C
At least 1 year of recent experience in Parts, Materials and Processes (PM&P) or EEE/EEEE components engineering disciplines. PM&P or EEE/EEEE components type work experience can include: PM&P or electrical and electronic parts selection to meet program objectives and requirements, piece part analysis and qualification efforts, TeamCenter engineering design parts and materials planning/implementation, Electrical/Electronic Design on product development programs, PM&P Design for manufacturability, Nuclear Hardness parts qualification efforts, Production engineering support for critical EEE/EEEE parts, processes or materials, Design efforts that selected critical parts, materials or processes.
Experience in commercial or automotive electronics design or manufacturing
Experience reading and understanding technical data (e.g., Technical Orders, Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, Bills of Material, Engineering Specifications, etc.)
Must be able to support an in-office / closed-area work environment
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
Special Skills Desired
Working knowledge of various NASA & Military Performance documents required for the selection and screening of Space, Military, DSSC, Non-Standard, and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf components, including MIL-PRF-38534 (Hybrids), MIL-PRF-38535 (microcircuits), MIL-PRF-19500 (semiconductors), MIL-PRF-123 (capacitors), MIL-PRF-55342 (resistors), MIL-PRF-39016 (relays), MIL-PRF-981(magnetics), IPC-6012 and MIL-PRF-31032 (Printed Circuit Boards) and various electrical interconnect systems.
Experience developing Source Control Drawings or Component Specifications for EEEE components
Experience developing and conducting qualification of EEEE components
Working knowledge of Failure Analysis, physics of failure, Root Cause & Corrective Action for EEEE components
Experience performing EEEE component screening & qualification, component application qualification, and related installation/assembly process specifications
Experience in parts, materials and process manufacturing support for EEEE components
Working knowledge of SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft teams, Siemens TeamCenter or other lifecycle management systems
Experience working across multi-functional groups.
Experience working in Agile and digital design environments
Experience working with subcontractors
Understanding of supply chain management as it relates to parts management and obtaining technical specifications on components
Familiar with the application of EEEE components in systems design
Familiar with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, development, or manufacturing
Familiar with cable and wire harness design, development, or manufacturing
Experience with derating, and/or up-screening
Experience in DMSMS and Obsolescence
