Lockheed Martin Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. E1462: Systems Engineer Responsibilities

Manage Bill-of-Materials, new part requests, part objects, and part attributes in a Product Lifecycle Management System Coordinate efforts to identify, resolve, and/or mitigate Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues on selected bill of materials Perform trade-study analysis for obsolescence resolutions including cost-benefits, lifetime buy benefits, technical data modification effort, system impact, non-recurring engineering effort and complexity factor Canvas manufacturers and vendors for obsolescence information; maintain open, regular communication to ensure proactive obsolescence identification Research BOMs and engineering parts lists to develop a comprehensive database Identify and document critical obsolescence data elements for items that impact longevity of LRUs and piece-parts Work with design engineers in selection and application of Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Electro-Optical (EEEE) parts, including Microcircuits, Connectors, Passive Devices, and Printed Circuit Boards Work with manufacturing and Component vendors to resolve qualification, producibility, and test issues with parts and Circuit Card Assemblies Support Supply Chain with component procurement requirements, selection of suppliers, and procurement issues Support Program Subcontractors with EEEE Part requirements interpretation and review of Subcontractor Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative teams comprising all experience levels Qualifications

Active Secret Clearance Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience with bachelor’s in science Recent in-depth experience with PMAP Rev C Recent experience in Parts, Materials and Processes (PM&P) or EEE/EEEE components engineering disciplines, including parts selection, analysis, and materials planning/implementation Experience in commercial or automotive electronics design or manufacturing Experience with reading and understanding technical data (e.g., Technical Orders, Engineering Drawings, Parts Lists, Bills of Material, Engineering Specifications) Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time Desirable/Additional Skills

Working knowledge of various NASA & Military Performance documents for selecting and screening components (e.g., MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-PRF-123, MIL-PRF-55342, MIL-PRF-39016, MIL-PRF-981, IPC-6012, MIL-PRF-31032) Experience developing Source Control Drawings or Component Specifications for EEEE components Experience developing and conducting qualification of EEEE components Working knowledge of Failure Analysis, physics of failure, Root Cause & Corrective Action for EEEE components Knowledge of SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Siemens TeamCenter or other lifecycle management systems Experience in Agile and digital design environments Familiar with EEEE components in systems design and with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, development, or manufacturing Experience with derating and/or upscreening and with DMSMS and obsolescence What We Are

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Employee will work on-site full-time. Shift: First. Work Schedule: 9x80 every other Friday off. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. Security Clearance
