Lead the strategy realization function of the Enterprise Strategy department including organizational performance, operations excellence, and enterprise initiative / project management. In this role, you will work with multiple stakeholders, including executive leadership and cross-functional departments to successfully implement key initiatives that drive realization of the enterprise strategy. You will explore innovative organizational performance approaches, lead operations excellence efforts to overcome challenges to realization, manage priority enterprise initiatives, and leverage talent across the enterprise to proliferate standardized and high quality methods and approaches to strategy realization. Organizational Performance framework and execution (30%) - Develop enterprise performance metrics, KPIs and data definitions; cascade KPIs to functions; lead the development and continuous improvement of an enterprise performance review cycle of meaningful reports, meetings, and decision-making moments (e.g., quarterly business reviews); and develop monthly / quarterly / annual monitoring and reporting to the Executive Team and Board of Directors. Enterprise initiative approach and portfolio (30%) – Track and manage the portfolio of enterprise strategic initiatives identified in enterprise strategy processes; lead or advise on initiative design, execution, and adoption; lead or serve in a management role on initiative teams using best-in-market methods and principles such as project management, agile or lean. Operations excellence approach and portfolio (20%) – Lead process improvement initiatives to ensure achievement of enterprise strategic choices, in partnership with the Information Technology and People departments, taking a holistic people / process / technology approach; lead periodic operational excellence reviews, develop recommendations and solutions, and lead or participate on teams to execute on approved recommendations, including change management. Communities of Practice strategy and approach (10%) - Lead the development and continuous improvement of an enterprise-wide Strategy Community of Practice program that engages practitioners performing similar functions to share expertise, best practices, and learn from one another; collaborate with leaders across functions to identify leaders and facilitators for Communities of Practice, and cultivate shared ownership and governance. Flexible Strategy Consulting and Leadership (10%) - As part of a flexible internal consulting function working across the enterprise, partner with the entire Enterprise Strategy department to manage and prioritize requests and complete any other duties as assigned from end-to-end. Experience / Qualifications
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field Preferred Degree: Master's Degree - MBA, MA in Nonprofit Management, or relevant advanced degree preferred. Years of experience: 10 Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
10+ years of experience in nonprofit management, strategy, and/or project management, preferably in a health and human services nonprofit. 10+ years of collaborative leadership including engagement of senior and executive leaders Strong knowledge of American Cancer Society programs, strategies and organizational infrastructure or equivalent experience operating in a complex environment in the nonprofit or for profit sector. 3+ years of experience in organizational performance, performance scorecards, balanced scorecard, KPI/OKR development, and metrics reporting; technical skill with data reporting and visualization tools highly desirable (e.g. PowerBI, Salesforce reporting). 3+ years of direct experience leading end-to-end complex enterprise-wide initiatives, including design, leadership, and change management; technical skill with project management tools highly desirable (e.g. Monday.com, PlanView). 3+ years of experience designing and facilitating meetings of 3-200+ attendees, crossing all levels of leadership. Proven leadership experience such as building coalitions and leading through influence; ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams. Travel Requirements

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment No or very limited physical effort required No or very limited exposure to physical risk The starting rate is $125,000 to $140,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
