Mechatronic Engineer (AI Robotic) - SF Onsite. We are hiring for one of our ecosystem projects a pioneering tech company developing a cross-platform robot operating system infused with AI, aiming to create robots that learn rapidly, are easy to train, and excel at interacting dynamically with their environment and humans. This role focuses on designing and developing robotic hardware that integrates advanced AI technologies, contributing to the entire product lifecycle from concept through production. Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of circuit boards and systems for robotic applications, utilizing complex architectures and custom circuitry. Collaborate on product feature design with cross-functional teams (mechanical, embedded, software, production, supply chain, etc.). Engage in schematic capture, modeling, simulation, analysis, verification, debugging, and production release. Provide regular updates on project timelines and deliverables. Participate in and contribute to cross-functional design reviews. Work closely with CAD engineers on PCB layout. Develop automated testing solutions for hardware components. Proactively identify and propose improvements in hardware development projects, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and project success. Undertake additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of experience as an electrical or mechanical engineer in robotics. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360). Familiarity with software programming skills (Python, C, C++ or other programming languages). Experience in ROS2 hardware integration or mechatronic systems is preferred. Skills in cable harnessing, rapid prototyping, machining, or additive manufacturing is nice to have. Hands-on experience in designing and building components like actuators, grippers, and robotic arms; experience in related fields is also valued. Strong understanding of mechanics, kinematics, and control systems. Expertise in circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, and circuit testing. Proven track record of ownership over development processes and features, delivering exceptional results.
