The Media Director (Planning & Strategy) serves as a senior media expert, providing departmental and capability leadership, increasing visibility of the media practice, and leading a key client account. This role manages a team of media planning professionals and ensures media strategies and deliverables meet client requirements and Razorfish quality standards. The position also involves mentoring staff and driving new business efforts. Responsibilities

Develop forward-thinking, cross-channel local media strategies to improve client marketing program effectiveness and grow business. Lead the team, manage day-to-day client interaction, and build, maintain, and grow client relationships and business. Advise clients and internal teams on media opportunities. Serve as the client lead on a large Enterprise media account. Manage multiple lines of business within a client account. Conceive, negotiate, and present cross-platform, large-scale media proposals to clients. Cross-sell and upsell services. Participate in business development for media pitches. Lead and supervise the team, including hiring, training, staffing, coaching, and evaluating performance. Attend and represent the client at industry events. Assist with POV writing and client-specific POVs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university. 8-10+ years of experience in digital media planning and purchasing strategies in advertising; agency experience is desirable. 4+ years of prior staff management, development, and mentoring experience. Proficiency with media tools and platforms (e.g., MediaTools, Pathmatics, Comscore, MRI, Vivix/Kartar). Ability to strategically plan campaigns from audience determination to flighting and implementation aligned with client goals. Strong analytics understanding to inform planning and strategy. Experience identifying media opportunities, presenting to clients, and delivering results. Experience monitoring and optimizing the media planning process. Portfolio management of paid media for a large brand. Excellent written and verbal communication, diplomacy, relationship-building, and creative thinking. Additional Information
