The Director of Business Strategy & Planning is a critical role reporting to the GM of Business and Product Management for the Game Content & Studios (GC&S) organization. This role drives strategic collaboration and planning with marketing and business leaders across studios and business units. Your impact comes from strategic planning based on analysis of market performance. Success requires framing and analyzing complex problems, uncovering insights, solving problems creatively, communicating clearly, and collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders. Creating clarity of performance and success metrics by ensuring leadership has a clear understanding of progress against core goals (e.g., engagement, monetization, Game Pass impact, and franchise health) and by standardizing and improving dashboard views and generating insights. Developing and maintaining a single source of accepted and validated truth regarding accountable outcomes for investments, with alignment and acceptance from studio teams. Partnering with studios, business units, and Finance to rigorously track progress against portfolio KPIs, covering financial outcomes, player engagement, and ROI. Collaborating with studios and business units to identify and close gaps against goals and continually optimize performance. Demonstrating strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills essential for regular interactions with international partners and business unit leadership. Managing complex product initiatives in partnership with internal stakeholders. Owning risk and opportunity management and driving course-corrections in partnership with business units. Ensuring alignment of products with business objectives, consumer needs, and licensing standards throughout product development. Generating actionable business insights to support timely portfolio decisions regarding cost, quality, lifetime value (LTV), and strategic fit. Driving growth strategy, business analysis, SKU planning, and monetization; collaborating with analytics teams to create actionable BI plans; leading consumer research by integrating diverse data sources into key insights. Assessing market trends and competition to identify portfolio opportunities; coordinating among leadership, development, publishing, and licensing partners to facilitate collaboration. Steering multi-year strategies, roadmaps, and expansion initiatives to grow the business through regional and global expansion of features, services, and offerings. Driving operational programs to increase the value created by broad teams of collaborators across GC&S studios. Growing the business by leading regional and global expansion across new features, services, and offerings; managing revenue and recommending key decisions on quality, cost, and timing for marketing programs and products. Applying analytics to design, update, and improve business models for existing and upcoming projects; analyzing player behavior (e.g., churn, ARPU, ARPPU, LTV) and demographic trends to inform decisions. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 4+ years of marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, or related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, or related experience Equivalent experience 4+ years of experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years of progressive business/portfolio management experience Digital commerce experience Knowledge of the video game industry 2+ years at a top-tier strategy consultancy or investment bank 2+ years of management experience Business Strategy IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 – $251,900 per year. There are location-based variations (San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metro area: USD $165,600 – $272,300 per year). Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
