The Artisan Chef Manufacturing Company, located in historic Lawrence, Massachusetts, is a fast-growing, multi-faceted manufacturer of scratch-made Artisan Breads, Fresh Pastas, Gourmet Sauces, Authentic Neapolitan Style Pizza, Calzones, and Restaurant-Quality Prepared Meals. We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Manager to join our team and help scale a startup-style operation while delivering great service and building lasting customer relationships. Responsibilities
Oversee the full order lifecycle, from order placement to delivery, including receiving, shipping, inventory control and returns management. Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment to meet or exceed customer expectations. Direct daily warehouse operations, including storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes. Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards. Implement and manage systems for accurate inventory tracking. Monitor stock levels, reduce discrepancies, and ensure product availability. Develop and execute strategies to improve logistics and reduce operational costs. Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and partners to enhance supply chain performance. Lead, mentor, and motivate shipping, receiving and inventory control supervisors, and staff. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for order fulfillment, warehouse efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Identify process bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutions. Align fulfillment strategies with organizational goals and long-term growth plans. Anticipate future capacity needs and scalability requirements. Develop and manage the warehouse department budget. Optimize resource allocation and control operating costs. Identify and implement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce errors, and enhance customer experience. Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Minimum qualifications
Proven leadership experience in a start-up fulfillment, distribution, supply chain, or logistics management. Proficiency in operating in a fast paced, high volume distribution packing center. Proven leadership experience in managing a 24/7 operation with a heavy emphasis on weekend operations. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex operational challenges. Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication skills to engage with teams, stakeholders, and customers. Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory software, and logistics platforms. In-depth knowledge of supply chain, warehousing, and distribution practices. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred. Physical requirements
