Senior Vendor Manager - Apparel, US Apparel at Amazon. VM's at Amazon are responsible for monitoring and reacting to industry trends and own the top and bottom lines of the P&L. They will develop selection and categories, deliver innovative growth solutions and work with internal teams to deliver the best customer experience. VMs work with vendors of all sizes. Key responsibilities
Monitor industry trends and own the top and bottom lines of the P&L. Develop product selection and categories; deliver innovative growth solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the best customer experience. Represent Amazon with vendors of all sizes and demonstrate leadership presence and communication skills at all levels. Work across multiple internal teams and senior leadership to address customer experience issues within the category. Build cross-functional partnerships with data analytics, account management, brand development, ad sales, and related functions. Job responsibilities
Support vendor managers and Amazonians in areas such as in‑stock and marketing; develop analytical and problem‑solving skills. Learn and understand Amazon advertising and merchant services, including how to create opportunities and support account managers in delivering client presentations. Assist in identifying target accounts using market data and industry intelligence. Identify opportunities to improve products, services, processes, systems, and tools; work with category, product, and technical support teams to implement improvements. Develop understanding of customer pain points and potential value delivered by advertising or merchant services. Basic qualifications
5+ years of account management, project/program management, or buying experience. Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL. Experience driving internal cross‑team collaboration. Experience using data to influence business decisions. Experience with business analysis and P&L management. Preferred qualifications
Experience driving direction and alignment with cross‑functional teams. About
