Salary: $25.06-$31.31 Hourly, depending on qualifications Pay Grade: I Closing Date: Open Until Filled This is a Full-Time 40 Hours Weekly position with the Department of Social Services. The Office of Recoveries & Fraud Investigations identifies situations where social services benefit programs were obtained inappropriately and identifies and seeks recovery when the state is owed money if social services program benefits were overpaid due to error, fraud, or if other resources are responsible to pay first. The Policy/Data Analyst is responsible for reviewing processes, developing policies and procedures, conducting research and surveys, and data collection and analysis. This position will work collaboratively with our recovery, third party liability, and fraud investigation efforts to ensure consistent operations across the team.
Responsibilities
Review processes, conduct research and surveys, and collect/analyze data to support program operations. Develop and review policies and procedures related to recovery, third party liability, and fraud investigations. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent operations across the unit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of data collection processes Knowledge of data analysis techniques Knowledge of research or survey methodology Knowledge of policy and procedure development Understanding of public assistance programs, objectives, and delivery methods and procedures (preferred but not required)
Ability To
Evaluate and monitor program operations, identify problem areas, and develop and implement resolutions Research and analyze data, reason logically and accurately; draw valid conclusions and interpret/apply policy Demonstrate compassion, respect, courtesy, and tact when interacting with others Communicate information clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing Prepare clear and concise documents and reports Develop case review procedures, identify negative trends, and formulate corrective actions Utilize computerized data systems (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power BI preferred but not required) Oversee the implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures, including providing direction to staff for centralized processes Compare information and recognize discrepancies Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
