Aerospace & Defense Composites CNC Setup Machinist
Re:Build Manufacturing, Rock Hill, South Carolina, United States, 29730
Job Description
Job Description What if your next setup changed the way a part is built? You’re the kind of machinist who sees three different ways to hold a part and chooses the one that makes inspection easy and repeatable. At Composite Resources in Rock Hill, SC, you’ll bring that mindset to carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other composite parts for aerospace and defense—on either 1st or 2nd shift. Who we are Composite Resources is part of Re:Build Manufacturing, a team committed to rebuilding the U.S. industrial base. We leverage technology, modern systems, and strong financial backing to compete globally—with a long-term, people-centered approach. We don’t buy to sell; we build to last and help employees realize their potential. Your impact
Own CNC setups and operation across 3- and 5-axis vertical and horizontal mills. Translate travelers, drawings, specifications, and sketches into precise, compliant parts. Develop and iterate fixtures; challenge assumptions—because there’s no one-size-fits-all in composites. Measure what matters: verify parts with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and more. What it takes to thrive
5+ years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing. Fluency in blueprint reading and technical documentation; basic computer literacy. Strong shop math (fractions, decimals) and practical metrology skills. Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions in English. Comfort juggling priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment. Skilled trade/technical certification preferred. Shifts 1st and 2nd shift available. Why you’ll love building here We aim to make a real difference—in our industries and our communities. Every employee of Re:Build will share ownership in the company and will share in the financial rewards of the success we achieve together, at all levels of the company! Our promise to applicantsWe want to work with people that reflect the communities in which we operate Re:Build Manufacturing is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We do not discriminate based upon race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status, marital status, parental status, cultural background, organizational level, work styles, tenure and life experiences.
